Masai Mara Camps Versus Masai Mara Hotels

Masai Mara or Maasai Mara is the finest wildlife reserve of South Western Kenya. It features an abundant wildlife and gentle rolling grasslands. During the months of July to October, you'll get a chance to witness the great wildebeest migration that offers unparalleled sensations. This scenic splendor, matched with a gentle climate and wildlife make Masai Mara the most famous inland destination park in Kenya. For accommodations, you don't need to go too far because there are lots of 5-star to 2-star Masai Mara hotels you can choose from.

During the day, as you tour National Reserve, a must try activity is their balloon safari. Hotels in Park are actually really few so the best option is to book into popular camp accommodations like Masai Leisure Camp and Beleleur Camp.

Masai Leisure Camp - This 5-star hotel in Park feature a boutique-style setting. It has an outdoor pool, small conference hall and meeting facilities. Guests can choose from 50 well-appointed guest rooms and cabins. Other amenities include a lounge/bar, high speed Internet connectivity, parking areas and a restaurant. Rooms are equipped with air conditioning units, tea/coffee makers and hair dryers among others.

Beleleur Camp at Kichwa Tembo - This accommodation is located along South Western Kenya's National Reserve. It is set over a private concession which was leased from the Masai landlords. This camp can be accessed via the base of the "Oloololo Escarpment" and fringed by Forest Riverine below. From the Nairobi Airport, it is a six hour and 15 minute drive away but you can also get a flight from the Nairobi Wilson Airport.

This camp is a good alternative to luxury or cheap Masai Mara hotels. It offers an interesting venue to become one with nature. Check in time is at 2pm while check out time is at 11am.
